Generate quality human resources with enhanced employability and entrepreneurial skills through diversified skill-oriented training programs for food processing sector.

Objectives of CSIR Integrated Skill Initiative
  • To create a certified talent pool for catering manpower needs of the country
  • To utilize CSIR knowledgebase and infrastructure for contributing to national skill mission
  • To implement special up-skilling/training programs for societal benefits
  • Aligning the skill programs with CSIR Integrated Skill Initiative, National Skill Development Corporation and Sector Skill Councils to meet the national objectives

Under CSIR Integrated Skill Initiative, the institute conducts around 25 regular training programs, Skill Development Programs and Short Term Courses every year encompassing major areas in Food Science and Technology. These courses are short duration but intensive, packed with lectures and demonstrations. Practical sessions are conducted in state-of-the-art laboratories and pilot plants of CSIR-CFTRI. Successful participants are awarded participation certificates. The initiative aligns with Government of India’s Skill India Mission to develop high-quality human resources at all levels.
